Jiang Yan, a disciple of Mount Taihua, had a mishap on her path of cultivation and needed to descend the mountain to gain experience.
So, acting on her own private motives, Jiang Yan chose Eight Immortals Town, where the sect's senior brother had disappeared.
The good news: Jiang Yan really did find her senior brother there.
The bad news: He was only a wisp of the senior brother's soul.
With no other choice, Jiang Yan could only follow the trail and keep searching.
She continued the search not only out of loyalty to her fellow disciple, but also because she wanted to advance her magic and pursue her goal of becoming an immortal.
