Xu Yanyang has always believed in the "theory of fate." Destiny can bring two people together, but in the first eighteen years of his life, he never met the one meant for him.
But right after the new term began, he felt that he had found his destined person. It had to be fate.
He met someone, and perhaps it was love at first sight.
They first met at a vast shooting range. He pressed the shutter and took her picture.
The second time they met, he used a game penalty as an excuse to boldly test what she thought of him.
The third time, he awkwardly struck up a conversation with her and finally brought them a little closer.
He thought of himself as a romantic idealist, yet he also recognized the cruel reality of life. But this person was carefree and free, as if nothing could ever hold her back.
So he awkwardly tried to get closer to her. He felt she deserved every beautiful thing in the world.

Pei Yi's first eighteen years had been dull, and she thought the rest of her life would probably be just as dull.
She could accomplish anything she wanted, whether it took effort or none at all.
Then someone came along and changed that way of thinking.
She knew he wanted to get closer to her, so she quietly stood to one side and watched him approach.
What did it feel like? He was passionate, always positive and full of energy, and he melted her iceberg heart.
It turned out you could enjoy life. It turned out love never had to become a shackle.
[Bonus Scene]
Pei Yi realized that Xu Yanyang seemed like a different person when he got drunk.
He kept whining and clinging to her.
She even had to comfort him.
After finally dumping Xu Yanyang back at home, she watched him sit on the sofa, holding on to the hem of her clothes and refusing to let her leave.
Xu Yanyang wrapped his arms around Pei Yi's waist, buried his face against her, and asked miserably, "So, did you agree to be with me?"
The next day, Xu Yanyang realized he had blacked out. He couldn't remember Pei Yi's answer, only that it had happened.
So what was her answer?!
A cool, clear-eyed, free-spirited girl × a seemingly literary and upbeat, but secretly insecure and sensitive young man
[I once shouted that those who don't love are free, but it turns out love and freedom never conflict.]
