After Mistaking My Frail Sister-in-Law for a Secret Lover

Wen Xiuzhi receives a letter from an old friend.

The letter says that her friend happened upon a beauty with a tragic past, so frail and delicate that she couldn't survive without someone's protection.

Her parents wouldn't let her keep the beauty, so they sent her to Wen Xiuzhi instead, asking her to take good care of her.

Wen Xiuzhi follows the directions and finds a delicate beauty indeed.

The beauty has snow-white skin, a slender waist, and a gentle face clouded with sorrow. She truly looks like someone who couldn't survive without another person to look after her.

Wen Xiuzhi owns countless shops and has money to spare. Keeping someone is no trouble at all.

She never intended anything else, but the beauty gives off a strange fragrance, and her skin is so tender that sweet droplets seem to gather on it...

Wen Xiuzhi is momentarily dazed, and somehow she really does take the beauty in as her kept woman.

Rare treasures flow in like water, and the courtyard fills with gold and silver, all testifying to Wen Xiuzhi's deep feelings for her. Yet the beauty always has a furrow between her brows, a sorrow that won't fade, as though she doesn't love Wen Xiuzhi all that much.

Wen Xiuzhi thinks she must have done something wrong, until her brother rushes into the courtyard and pours out his love to the beauty. Only then does she realize she has mistaken the person.

This beauty was meant for her brother.

The beauty doesn't dislike Wen Xiuzhi. She was just afraid Wen Xiuzhi would learn the truth and abandon her.

Abandoning a wife is out of the question, but abandoning a brother is an option.

Her brother fumes: "You scoundrel! That's your sister-in-law!"

Wen Xiuzhi looks at her furious brother, without a trace of remorse. "You're mistaken, brother. She's my sister-in-law."

[Short Scene]

A Yu, a peach spirit, is an honest, kindhearted demon. One day, she happens upon a pitiful girl crying because she is being sent to the capital to become the kept woman of a rich family's son. Softhearted, A Yu takes the girl's place and goes to the capital.

To her surprise, the person she meets isn't a young master, but a young lady more beautiful than any demon.

A Yu carefully hides her true nature, but gradually begins to slip up.

Drops of fragrant peach nectar fall, and the sticky, sweet juice reveals that she is a demon.

She is afraid of seeing fear in Wen Xiuzhi's eyes. Instead, Wen Xiuzhi gently presses a fragrant fingertip to her lips and whispers, "Shh. Let me have a taste."
