As he watched Xie Liyin approach, Qi Zhengyao raised his eyes, about to speak. Then he heard his childhood friend lower her head and brightly hold out a pink envelope. "Please, go out with me!"
Qi Zhengyao's heart stopped. The corners of his mouth hadn't even lifted when Xie Liyin added, "Shen Jiqing!"
A split second before she said the name, Xie Liyin had suddenly realized that if her confession was rejected, their families were neighbors. They'd be running into each other constantly. How suffocating would that be?
After she finished, Xie Liyin stealthily glanced up, waiting for Shen Jiqing to turn her down, only to see Qi Zhengyao's face had gone ashen.

Xie Liyin wasn't good at physics, so she carried her workbook to Qi Zhengyao's house to ask him for help.
"Qi Zhengyao, how do I do this problem?"
But Qi Zhengyao replied in a lazy, infuriating voice. As he controlled a character on his computer, he drawled, "Please, go out with me~"
"Qi Zhengyao, aren't you tired of saying that yet?" Ever since Xie Liyin confessed, it had been the first thing he said to her every time. She was sick of hearing it, but Qi Zhengyao still wasn't tired of saying it.
Xie Liyin finally lost patience. "Are you going to teach me or not? If not, I'll ask Shen Jiqing! He's top of the grade, after all!"
Qi Zhengyao panicked. "You wouldn't dare!"
"Why wouldn't I?" Xie Liyin straightened her back and glared at him with her bright, limpid eyes.
Qi Zhengyao gave in. "Fine, I'll teach you, okay?"
Then, in a softer voice, he muttered, "You little tyrant."
