The Sweet and Naive Little Consort

The third daughter of the Changqing Marquis's household, Zhuang Shuyi, who was abducted years ago, has been found. Though she has been brought home, she's a little slow and simple-minded. With the palace selection coming up, the family sends her in place of the fourth daughter to serve the tyrant.

Zhuang Shuyi barely remembers her new name before she muddles her way into the palace, where she happily spends a year as a low-ranking concubine.

At the year-end palace banquet, the little concubine sits at the very end of the feast. Her little mouth never stops as she samples the seemingly endless variety of delicious food. Once she's eaten her fill and enjoyed the songs and dances, she falls asleep right in her seat.

Emperor Xiao Chengyi remembers the little concubine who enjoys everything she eats and can fall asleep sitting up. On the second day of the new year, he summons her to his bedchamber.

The tyrant Xiao Chengyi, who hasn't had a good night's sleep in ages, finds that holding the little concubine in his arms lets him sleep soundly.

The tyrant Xiao Chengyi has a secret: he suffers from severe anorexia and insomnia. And on top of that, he has another, even more secret illness...

Xiao Chengyi has been sick for years, and no medicine can help him. No one knows that the delicate, simple-minded little concubine has become his cure.

The little concubine is lovely in every way, but she's really a bit too simple-minded. Xiao Chengyi is concerned. What if they have a silly, simple-minded Crown Prince? What will he do?

P.S. Fictional dynasty. Both leads' first relationship. A very sweet, fluffy romance.

My next novel is "The Princess's Cold Heart." Here's the blurb. Please add it to your reading list! (*+￣3)(ε￣+*)

Ask anyone in the capital who the most beautiful woman in Great Liang is, and they'll all say Princess Ming Tan.

Ask them what Princess Ming Tan loves most, and everyone can name a few things: wearing famous flowers in her hair, making friends, admiring beautiful people, seeking fine wine, listening to music and appreciating paintings, exploring historical sites and secluded places...

But ask what Princess Ming Tan dislikes most, and there's only one answer: Li Mi, the heir of the Duke of Huguo, whom all the noble young ladies of the capital admire from afar.

Li Mi doesn't know why Ming Tan dislikes him so much. Instead, he keeps her in mind and pays attention to her at every turn, praising her both in public and in private, and helping her openly and behind the scenes.

But the princess is truly cold-hearted. She won't even spare Li Mi a glance.

At last, one day, Ming Tan gets caught up in trouble and falls into Li Mi's hands.

Li Mi hopes the princess will say something sweet, but Ming Tan would rather die than give in.

Li Mi tries to reason with her, but she won't listen. He tries to coax her, but it doesn't work. At last, his eyes redden with frustration, and he loses control, cornering her by the bed and demanding to know why she treats him this way.

Why? Because she loved him in her past life and couldn't have him, so in this life she'd rather die than want him. Doesn't this princess have any pride?

Not a conventional groveling romance. Both leads' first relationship. It's a sweet story!

Theme: Stay true to yourself.
