Blurb
*Song Zhiyi transmigrates into an imperial-examination novel as a disposable illegitimate son, with a formidable legitimate mother who won't let him study.
Luckily, he binds himself to a radio System that lets him listen to lessons from afar.
After carefully weighing his options, Song Zhiyi sets the signal source on Jiang Shouhui, the cousin and male supporting character. But he never expects to uncover a hidden powerhouse.
Jiang Shouhui is not only a quick learner, but also a genuinely nice person.
Song Zhiyi decides to cling to this powerful ally.
"Cousin Shouhui, how do you read this character?"
"Cousin Shouhui, how do you solve this problem?"
"Cousin Shouhui, how should I structure this essay?"
Later, both of them pass the provincial imperial examinations. Song Zhiyi is posted to a minor position outside the capital, while his cousin stays behind in the capital.
Then one day, Song Zhiyi accidentally opens the signal source on his cousin.
"Miss, you've made it through all these years. You've worked so hard to pass the imperial examinations and become an official. You can't give up now."
What? The cousin he'd been calling that all these years was actually a woman?!
Song Zhiyi writes an application to return to the capital overnight.
Later, the two serve in the same court, work hard side by side, restore their family's fortunes, and become a legendary couple remembered throughout history.
Reading Notes
1. The romance is a slow burn.
2. Set in a fictional world inspired by the Ming and Qing dynasties.
3. The male and female leads are not related by blood.
Coming Soon: After Turning into a Fat Little Bird, the Marquis Wants to Cuddle Every Day, originally titled I Became My Madam's Bird
Shen Jingqing is a diligent foreign affairs officer.
After being hit by a bomber, she wakes up one day in the body of a marquis's wife.
She feels like crying. Why does she still have to do this kind of work in ancient times?
*
Lin Yanyang, the Marquis of Yongping, doesn't like his wife, Shen Jingqing.
She's gentle and gracious, and every move she makes is so perfectly composed that it seems carefully planned. She looks like a fake person.
Not long after they marry, Lin Yanyang leaves for the battlefield, and the couple rarely get to see each other.
Then Lin Yanyang is gravely wounded and falls unconscious. When he wakes up, he discovers he's become a bird raised by Shen Jingqing.
Furious, he squawks, yells, and bites people.
Shen Jingqing grabs him with one hand and says coolly, "Careful, or I'll stew you into chicken soup."
She really is a wicked woman.
*
The people in the marquis's household notice that ever since their marquis woke up,
he's been acting very strangely.
Sometimes he's full of enthusiasm and makes a silly face as he insists on cuddling with Madam.
Other times he's as cold as ice, yet he does whatever Madam tells him.
The marquis bows and scrapes to Madam, flattering her to no end.
But what they don't know is,
the wicked Madam has gotten the marquis by the short and curlies.
*
After Shen Jingqing has teased him for long enough, Lin Yanyang suddenly decides he doesn't mind it after all.
Wait, is this what Shen Jingqing called getting "CPU-ed"?
Theme: Study hard and strive to live well
It can also be seen that the author has done a lot of homework in the imperial examination part.
Is this your first time writing? I was shocked The beginning of this book did make me feel that there are some logical flaws in some places, but the flaws are not outweighed. I can't say it is very interesting, but it kept me patiently reading. Except for the beginning, the writing becomes more stable towards the end, and the whole book is stable. Some plots may have some logical flaws. It's lacking, but the writing style has always been very stable, and I can feel the author's skills. At first, I thought this was a trumpet written by someone who wrote imperial examination essays. I didn't expect that the author had never read any imperial examination essays. It seems that the author is very talented in writing imperial examination essays. Hahaha, the first book is so stable. It's great.
