[Highlight: It's been on hold for a while, and I've kind of forgotten how to write it. I'll update it gradually.]

Strong-willed, bad-tempered, action-oriented heroine * easily riled, jealous hero

Lu Shi had a terrible seventeenth birthday.

She was set up, her golden core shattered, and her sword rusted. Fortunately, she escaped with her life and fled thousands of miles away to the Southern Domain, where she could cultivate anew.

There, she met a beautiful young nine-tailed fox.

The young man was handsome, but had a strange temper. He cared about her, got angry with her, and couldn't let her go...

After his outbursts, he would often look so aggrieved and helpless that Lu Shi felt she must have owed him a debt once, though she couldn't remember.

But this little fox was also very easy to appease. The secret to smoothing his fur was to...

Let him stay by her side, or let her go to his.

A little scene:

The cold night dragged on.

Lu Shi returned to her room from Xiao Mian's place and was suddenly shoved against the wall by a tremendous force. A scent of white plum blossoms enveloped her, and a sharp pain flared in her neck.

Lu Shi frowned and tried to raise a hand, only to find she couldn't.

The young man had unfurled his nine tails. Eight were wrapped around her, while the last stood on end, fur bristling to show his anger.

"You went to see him again."

Lu Shi frowned. "So what?"

"Lu Xunzhou, can you do anything besides bite people?"

At her words, the young man lowered his eyes. His cool lips lingered against her neck, then he licked the mark left by his teeth.
