Before Produce 48 aired, netizens drew up the following Produce series "curses" based on the first two seasons:
1. Any trainee who takes first place on their first appearance will fulfill the show's quota for generating buzz, then end up as a sacrificial contestant;
2. The "first center" of the theme song is guaranteed to debut, but will never take first place in the final rankings;
3. The eventual first-place winner will have chosen the Dance position evaluation;
4. The trainee with the highest average ranking throughout the competition will ultimately debut in second place;
After Produce 48 aired, Ren Lingyue single-handedly shattered every one of these "curses."

"What do you think an idol is?"
"I think an idol is a dream weaver."
"And what is the relationship between an idol and their fans?"
"It's simple: they weave dreams for each other. No one in the world is perfect, but both I, as an idol, and the fans who love me believe I am absolutely perfect."

Content warnings:
1. This is not a story where readers pick a love interest. The focus is her career, and it's essentially a wish-fulfillment story. There will be no endgame couple by the end of the main story; anyone she dates will become an ex.
2. Set in the Korean entertainment industry, with a few fantastical elements. The heroine was Chinese in her previous life. She has a golden finger, but no System.
Theme: Climb, conquer, and rule.
