This is a disaster. We need to do our best to survive.
As Rei Furuya said this with a stern face, his classmates burst into laughter in four different directions. But he wasn't wrong: this was indeed the most serious crisis they had ever faced.
The people of their country had already gone through this calamity once, all because of the arrogance of a few. For it to happen again now felt like a disaster that had come upon them for no reason.
"What are you talking about? Of course we'll survive," Jinpei Matsuda said, arms crossed, after wiping away tears of laughter.
"That's right, Zero," Hiromitsu Morofushi said, managing to rein in his laughter.
"Exactly! I'm with Matsuda on this one, little Furuya," Kenji Hagiwara chimed in.
"Ah, I wonder how our parents and Natalie's family are doing right now." That was something only Wataru Date would say.
