Bewitched by Zen

A noble young man determined to retreat from the world VS. a young courtesan who uses every trick she can think of to lure him back into it

Lu Lang of the capital was born to a noble family, but fate dealt him a cruel hand.

He lost his mother at a young age, and his father was coldhearted.

After ten years of arduous study, he passed the imperial exam with flying colors, was selected for the Hanlin Academy, entered the Imperial College, and became a renowned scholar whose fame spread throughout the capital.

But the higher you climb, the harder you fall. Just as he was at the height of his youth, misfortune struck, leaving him disabled and unable to walk properly.

After this sudden change, his former followers kept their distance, his relatives lost faith in him, and even his well-matched fiancée chose another man.

Lost and alone, he glimpsed the mysteries of Zen amid the fickleness of human nature.

From then on, he turned halfway away from the world, determined to become an outsider who paid no heed to worldly affairs and kept his heart still as water.

Yu Zhu grew up in a pleasure house. Her skin was as white as snow, her beauty like a flower, and she possessed an innate seductive charm.

She should have been like her sisters, relying on her natural beauty and exquisite musical skills to make her way through a world of romance and desire, earning countless admirers.

But she was a young woman who never took the usual path.

Born in the mire, she nevertheless loved the bright, pure moon, even though it was beyond her reach.

If she wanted to draw the moon into her arms, she would have to stretch up on tiptoe. If that wasn't enough, she would use a bamboo pole. If the pole couldn't reach, she would find a way to climb higher.

In short, she would never give up!

If his heart was hard as iron, she would build a furnace and turn a hundred-forged sword into something soft enough to curl around her fingers.

Two people from different worlds, their paths never meant to cross, became entangled through a twist of fate.

The story begins when a beautiful woman, eyes brimming with desire, unexpectedly appears in his tent...
