Anxin is unlucky enough to lose her memory from the start.

The odds and ends are all keepsakes from someone he once knew.

Everyone who sees them says he is deeply devoted to that person. But such conspicuous affection, expressed in the name of a mere human, is like a drop of water falling into the sea when it belongs to a god: almost impossible to notice.

That person never learned of Morax's restrained feelings, not even before their death, and the god himself could hardly put them into words.

Even the deepest love must give way to the people, and the strongest devotion must not stand above Liyue.

Such is a god's love. The only thing he can offer is a heart unchanged through the ages.
