Shen Qingyu was born into a beastfolk world and lost most of his memories from his previous life. But because of his snowy-white feathers, his tribe believed he was a priest blessed by the Beast God.
In his nest, Shen Qingyu was trying in a daze to rotate his head two hundred and seventy degrees. "Hoot?"
The divinely gifted priest couldn't fly at three, only learned to speak at four, and didn't manage to shift smoothly between human and beast forms until he was five. Shen Qingyu stumbled out of the nest, while owls his age were already able to hunt on their own.
At the sacrificial ceremony held once every five years, the young priests of the other tribes all received blessings from the Beast God. Shen Qingyu alone received nothing.
The little owl gazed innocently at his clan leader with wide eyes. The old clan leader sighed and resigned himself to the fact that Shen Qingyu was just an ordinary bird.
That was, until the neighboring nest brought back a little golden eagle with a broken leg.
The beastfolk continent was primitive and backward, so of course there was no way to treat a broken leg. Shen Qingyu looked regretfully at the unconscious little golden eagle, but as he shifted his gaze, a card suddenly appeared in his field of vision!
The card bounced up and down on a piece of wood, and no one else seemed to see it.
Shen Qingyu stepped closer and saw the words on the card: [Wood: It seems like this could be used to make something (stackable)]
Setting traps, making salt, brewing medicine, raising livestock, farming...
The old clan leader wept with gratitude to the Beast God during the sacrificial ceremony, while Shen Qingyu, the Beast God's blessed one, eyed the golden card above the altar, eager to try it out.
Later, a brand-new city arose in the eastern part of the continent, home to the bravest warriors and priests who knew everything.
The beastfolk no longer had to endure wind and rain, and could live in peace and comfort.
