Rekindled romance | Urban story told in flashbacks
[Before they reunite: naturally sickly beauty X arrogant young male doctor of traditional Chinese medicine;
After they reunite: algorithm engineer and contractor X AI healthcare CEO and client]
1.
When she was sixteen, Shi Yunshu was sent to the Jiang family, a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in Beicheng, to recuperate. She’d heard that the Jiang family’s young master, Jiang Huaijing, was notorious for defying convention and being insolent, and that no one could earn his regard.
She followed her grandfather’s advice and kept her distance from this spoiled heir. But in the Jiang family’s herbal garden, she ran into him, and the young man stopped her swing just as it was about to fall apart.
It was supposed to be a classic scene of a hero saving a beauty, but then...
The young man let go of the rope and glanced at her frail frame. “You sick little weakling, you don’t have long to live.”
“...” Shi Yunshu swallowed the words of thanks stuck in her throat.
That was how their feud began.
No one expected that the young master, who had always been carefree and irreverent, would suddenly mend his ways. Every day, he personally gathered and prepared medicine for her, studying hundreds of classic texts on traditional Chinese medicine.
And no one knew they had once been in a romance that ended without either of them falling ill.
2.
Years later, when they returned to the country, they crossed paths again and ended up on opposite sides of a business relationship.
The bad news was:
She was the contractor.
Shi Yunshu pretended not to know him in public and never brought up the past.
Until one day, at a company team-building event, she got drunk and accidentally mistook him for another male friend.
“Say that again. Who am I?”
Jiang Huaijing held her chin, his eyes dangerously compelling.
But Shi Yunshu didn’t notice. She repeated herself, confused. “You’re... Chi Qing, right?”
The man narrowed his long eyes dangerously and suddenly leaned down.
A sharp pain came from her lips, and her awareness gradually returned.
The taste of blood spread between their entwined lips, though neither could tell whose it was.
His breath was burning hot. In a husky voice, he pressed on:
“Now do you see who I am?”
Notes: 1. There is a fake-and-real heiress trope, but it doesn’t take up much of the story. The heroine is the real heiress, and there’s no rivalry between women. The two women are friends.
2. They’re each other’s first love, and neither has another relationship while they’re apart.
3. The title was inspired by an online fairy tale.
4. My writing is average. I recommend subscribing chapter by chapter.

Blurb for upcoming novel “My Mom Won’t Let Me Play with You”
Everyone in Beicheng knows that the Xu and Lu families are bitter enemies. The feud dates back to the 1960s and has lasted through the generation of Xu Wanqiao and Lu Zhizhou.
At a party, someone who didn’t know any better casually remarked that the Xu family’s daughter and the Lu family’s son made a perfect couple.
The Xu parents immediately bristled. “Even if every man in the world died, our Qiaoqiao would never fall for a Lu boy!”
The Lu family shot back, “There are enough girls chasing our Azhou to form a line around Beicheng. As if we’d want one of your daughters!”
Neither side would back down, making the scene unbearably awkward.
In a corner, Xu Wanqiao glanced at her sworn enemy and said haughtily, “You heard my mom. She won’t let me play with you.”
Lu Zhizhou glanced at her and replied coolly, “Yeah? Then let go of my hand first.”

[Substitute romance, short story, not contracted]
Before his death, Shen Yuheng’s comrade Zhou Ze asked him to conceal his death and look after his girlfriend, Su Tang. She had only recently lost her parents, and Zhou Ze was afraid she wouldn’t be able to take a third blow.
Zhou Ze died taking a bullet for him, and Shen Yuheng felt indebted to him, so he agreed.
He began learning to speak like Zhou Ze, imitating his voice and handwriting, and writing letters to Su Tang, chatting with her and taking an interest in her life and studies.
He thought he’d done a good job of looking after her, helping Su Tang get through the loss of both her parents.
Until the day before he planned to tell her the truth, Su Tang suddenly came to the base to visit Zhou Ze...
Shen Yuheng stood at the entrance to the base and said, feigning calm, “Zhou Ze went on a mission.”
Su Tang looked straight at him and slowly said:
“I came to see you.”
Theme: Carry on the culture of traditional Chinese medicine.
It's good to read, but such a beautiful story can only be found in novels. I watched the welfare episode and cried TT. Xiao Jiang must have been very lonely during those five years alone, so I didn't want to listen to Shu Shu's words for the last time. I believe that the two of them will stay together no matter where they are!
Reading this article has the same feeling as watching Millennium Dream Core (showing my age [laughing and crying])
I have experienced what it feels like to keep sending WeChat messages to the dead. It's really uncomfortable.
[Purple sugar] kswl [Purple sugar] kswl [Orange candy] I got it [Orange candy] I got it
I cried so much that the last chapter made me soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo [poor][poor][poor][poor]
The departed people love you in the clouds. Yun Shu and Jiang Huai Jing will meet again.
Everyone in this book is kind and beautiful, and they should always be happy.
When will sister's book be opened?
I cried when I watched it [poor] I liked it. Let's open "I Send the Wind"
