Cheerful, somewhat short-tempered shizun shou vs. hapless disciple gong who gets beaten and scolded
There are two "eccentrics" on Lingxiao Peak.
One is Jiang Yuxia, the First Immortal Venerable of the Three Realms, whose cultivation is unfathomable. In white, he is like an immortal descended from the heavens; when he loses his temper, he can tear down a mountain with his bare hands. His hobbies include causing trouble and feeding his disciple. He is always saying, "Back in my day..." but his lessons keep going spectacularly wrong.
The other is Shen Ruomu, the disciple Jiang Yuxia picked up. Dressed in a green robe patterned with bamboo, he is gentle and cheerful. To his shizun's face, he is an obedient, well-behaved disciple; behind his back, he turns his shizun's ridiculous antics into a book called Daily Rants. Watching his shizun, whose combat power is off the charts but who is always getting confused, Shen Ruomu swings back and forth every day between "Never mind, he's the best in the world" and "Help, I can't handle this shizun."
From blowing up the spirit fields into a pond while practicing swordplay, to mistaking a filial daughter for a vengeful ghost while hunting ghosts down the mountain, to tying up the wrong demon beast while trying to bring two people together for the Matchmaker God... This hilarious master-disciple duo's path to immortality is never short on chaos. But at some point, when Shen Ruomu looks down to straighten the collar his shizun has rumpled, his heart starts beating out of rhythm; and when Jiang Yuxia sees his disciple's helpless yet indulgent smile, his ears inexplicably grow warm.
When the world's most carefree champion meets a considerate disciple who loves to mutter complaints under his breath, the bond that began between master and disciple has already quietly changed into something else amid countless laughable daily mishaps.
"Shizun, you've blown up the alchemy furnace again."
"What's there to worry about? I'll make you an even better one! By the way, Mu'er, are today's candied hawthorns sweet?"
