The Miser Loves It So Much

Lu Yingqing was kidnapped as a child and was already sixteen by the time he was found.

His family was so poor that he had barely managed to finish middle school. His greatest wish in life was to save enough money to repair his family's roof, so that rain wouldn't soak his bed anymore.

After returning to the Lu family, Lu Yingqing got a glimpse of the splendor of Yanjing and was instantly dazzled by its glittering world.

Yanjing really is wonderful...

He didn't fit in at all, but he tried his best to become part of it.

Compared with Lu Zeming, the adopted son the Lu family had carefully raised, Lu Yingqing was stupid and miserly, empty-headed, self-important, and vulgar.

Lu Yingqing couldn't accept his situation.

His past meant his parents felt guilty toward him and indulged him in every way.

Lu Zeming had no right to speak up in front of him.

Lu Yingqing was arrogant and domineering. Whenever things didn't go his way, he'd take it out on Lu Zeming. His favorite thing to say was, "You stole everything that belonged to me! It should all be mine!"

None of Lu Yingqing's classmates liked him. They looked down on him for being poor and provincial, and resented how his return put Lu Zeming in an awkward position.

Lu Yingqing didn't care what anyone thought. He even drove Lu Zeming out of the Lu family.

Lu Yingqing thought Lu Zeming must hate him, too.

But Lu Zeming indulged him year after year.

Even when their parents had grown tired of his self-pity, Lu Zeming was still willing to comfort him.

To love him...

Lu Zeming: I know what kind of person you are, but I still love you.

Lu Yingqing: You'll definitely fall out of love with me.

For ten years, Lu Yingqing was miserly with even the smallest response.

Reader's Note:

The two aren't on the same household register when they get together!

Lu Yingqing is sharp-tongued and stubborn, and his intelligence is only obvious to other people.

A kind of everyone-loves-him, everyone-hates-him story where the one who hates him throws himself at him. ()

Finally, the thing Qingqing has always denied is right there in the title!

Theme: Respect and cherish the feelings and efforts others offer, and treat those around you with kindness.
