[I don't have much inspiration for this story right now, so I'm going to write the one about the psychiatric hospital next door first. I'll come back to this one.]
In the interstellar age, technology is highly advanced, and people can easily learn what's happening on any planet, no matter where they are.
Except on one planet: Yu Xing.
The people of the stars prefer to call it Prison Planet.
Prison Planet is technologically backward and houses top-tier juvenile pollutants, making it a favorite topic of conversation among the people of the stars.
Some say the prisoners are savage and ruthless. Others say they are skilled at manipulating people. Still others say they are withdrawn and antisocial.
Everyone spoke with absolute certainty, until a livestream called "Yu Xing Compound No. 26" quietly appeared on the interstellar network.
Everyone: ???
Prison Planet has internet access now?
Five little angels appeared before the public. They were sunny, cheerful, obedient, and well-behaved. They took care of their own chores and took turns handling the communal ones. They got along wonderfully.
Everyone: So these are the top-tier pollutants? I'm in love!
The people of the stars became obsessed with raising the little ones online, utterly charmed by them. Until one day, the little ones started fighting over their caretaker.
"He picked me up first today."
"He patted my head today and said I was good."
"Those are your only ambitions? He tells me good night every day."
"Didn't you go over to him yourself?"
Watching the little ones get jealous and tense with one another, their true forms faintly emerging,
Everyone: ...?
Jiu An escaped from an endless series of dungeons and fell into a small world, where he became a caretaker for young children.
He had no idea this was a high-risk job. He thought he could finally enjoy a carefree life of fishing, planting flowers, playing with cats and dogs, and clocking out right on time every day.
But after starting the job, he discovered that:
Fishing and planting flowers were out of the question. The environment was unsuitable, and nothing would grow.
Playing with cats and dogs was out of the question. They were called little ones, but they were children, so a caretaker was really a childcare worker.
And clocking out on time was even more impossible. The children were incredibly noisy and caused a ruckus anywhere, anytime.
Jiu An surveyed the scene before him, keeping his emotions steady.
#What if life deceives you?
Then smash that life to pieces.
[Reader's Guide:]
1. The protagonist on the receiving end has a bking persona. As the title suggests, the little ones aren't human. The love interest doesn't appear much at first, and isn't one of the little ones.
2. Overall, this is a light, feel-good power fantasy, but it has a complicated mix of elements. You may encounter child-rearing, saving people, farming, and gourmet food. A few chapters may mildly lower your sanity, though I don't think they lower it at all. A friend added that warning.
3. The protagonist and the little ones all have flaws early on, but gradually improve as they keep one another company.
Theme: Things are only truly good when everyone is doing well.
Chapter 20 has passed and I still have no clue.
(???????) Good book, can you?!
