When Chi Yuan and Jiang Lie met, they were both at their lowest. They fell in love and huddled together in a rundown neighborhood, living on love.
Three months later, Chi Yuan left without a word.
When Jiang Lie came back from buying groceries and saw the empty apartment, he remembered what the woman had whispered in his ear the night before.
Let's stay together forever, okay?
When they met again, it was at a lavish, glittering banquet.
Chi Yuan had her arm around her boyfriend's as she listened to him introduce the business world's newest rising star across from them.
The man held out his hand, his cold eyes fixed on her.
"Hello, I'm Jiang Lie."
At the height of their entanglement, the man slammed Chi Yuan onto the bed. She gritted her teeth and cursed him furiously.
"You're shameless!"
"That's right. I am." Jiang Lie smiled. "I'm shameless."
Chi Yuan had left him once before. So after they reunited, he stayed by her side every day like a stray dog.
