Plantago (Part One)

In the 7XXth year AD, during the prosperous Tang dynasty, all was peaceful. At this time, the court operated under the Three Departments and Six Ministries system. The Three Departments were the Secretariat, the Chancellery, and the Department of State Affairs; the Six Ministries were the Ministries of Personnel, Revenue, Rites, War, Justice, and Works. The Six Ministries were all under the authority of the Department of State Affairs, making it the most powerful force in the court. However, the chancellors of the Secretariat and the Chancellery were both members of the imperial family, giving them the strength to stand against the Department of State Affairs. Note: Fu Yi, pronounced like "fu yi," means plantain.
