Forcefully Plucking a Flower from the Mountain Peak

Shang Xun, heir to the Marquis of Pingxi, joined the army when he was young. Blessed with otherworldly looks and dazzling charisma, he captivated the realm.

In her previous life, Princess Lanling fell for Shang Xun at first sight. Ignoring his wishes, she begged her father to force him to marry her.

After they wed, Shang Xun treated her with icy politeness. He passed by the princess's residence three times without ever going in.

On the day of the palace coup, he even abandoned her without hesitation and fled the capital.

He loathed her utterly.

Reborn, Wei Yaohua returned to the day her father asked her to choose a scholar to serve as her companion.

Everyone knew that when Princess Lanling chose a companion, she was choosing her future husband,

so they all gave it everything they had, hoping to be chosen and rise to greatness.

Yet,

Wei Yaohua carefully looked over everyone at the banquet.

Among all the young men dressed to outshine one another, she still chose the one dressed most modestly and covered up most thoroughly: Shang Xun.
