My Reputation Crashes in a Detective Game

The main story is complete. An open ending, with individual-route if extras in progress, giving everyone a warm home (in their hearts). [The hit Chinese animation Case Files: Tracing the Clues and Detective Conan announce a joint-IP game launch!] A flood of news from the live stream: 1. Professor Lin, the moonlight of our memories, will be making a big splash on a brand-new stage in Toto! "They're adding another Red, so we're going straight to the finale, right?" "Good point. I'll wait for a genuine Black Organization member Linlin. Slurp." "Nooo, new good-looking members of the Black Organization are always disposable in the Detective Conan world!" 2. Unprecedented freedom! Explore over 100 maps at will, with no class-based progression system. Interact with a Turing-level AI and enjoy an absolutely immersive experience! "So they're saying I can get into the police academy boys' dorm, right? (rubs hands together like a fly)" "Then I'm putting ***** under the seat of a Porsche." "I only care about one thing: is this interaction suitable for all ages?" 3. But please act cautiously and cherish your life. If you die in the game, your character will be deleted immediately (heart). "?" "?" "?" 4. Please enjoy the game! Lin Tingyu, a new student at Toto University, stared in bafflement at the endless stream of bizarre people. They wore clothes completely unsuited to the season, and sometimes what they wore could hardly even be called clothes. They spoke in lines as incomprehensible as coded slang, and did things that were both unexpected and somehow seemed to accomplish some strange goal. Every one of them was either a Toto University student or a prospective one, making Lin Tingyu wonder if the school was selling drugs behind the scenes. Lin Tingyu: Is this what Toto is like? What an absurd city. But even more absurd was how, ever since arriving in Toto, he kept getting caught up in strange reputation crises. "Since my guy was stolen from me, I think it's understandable that I feel a tiny bit resentful." By the well-connected trainee detective. "If you no longer need him, would it trouble you if I disposed of him?" By the polite, mild-mannered new neighbor. "Just boss me around without holding back, like you used to. It wouldn't be any trouble at all." By the overly enthusiastic police officer upstairs. "I know you don't want to see me again, but we ran into each other, so there's nothing for it. Just put up with me for now." By the grim-faced... another police officer? "I don't mind if you open up a new door, but isn't opening so many all at once a bit too difficult? Am I going to have to handle your love-murder case someday?" By his roommate, childhood friend, and police officer, whose worldview keeps getting shaken to its core. Lin Tingyu: ... Lin Tingyu: "Thanks, but I don't think that's going to happen." He wanted to honestly tell everyone that he had no idea who they were, but those tags, so absurdly full of all the right details that they couldn't be approved, seemed to come from another version of himself who kept appearing in his dreams... Reader's guide: 1. Detective Conan only, though I'll include Easter eggs from famous and obscure mystery works. Have fun finding them (heart). 2. The crossover IP Case Files: Tracing the Clues is made up. It's a Hong Kong crime-detection comic and doesn't exist, so no need to search for it (bows deeply). Its protagonist is Lu Yang, who is an officer from Hong Kong visiting Japan for an exchange program in the game. It's just for some culture-clash jokes, so please don't relate it to the real world. 3. The male love interests are only the Sakura F4, Gin, and Akai. The Detective Conan main cast will make occasional appearances, but not often. Let's not contaminate the pure hearts of the children with the adult world. 4. There will be no merging of worlds into reality. It's really a game. Linlin is an NPC. There is no Saiki, no quest System, no plot armor, and no phone that can display comments. The players are there mainly to create an atmosphere, and at most they'll crash the server. 5. Linlin has a liquor codename, but he's a domestic third-party character. He's an intelligent, crowd-controlling character with steady emotions, and spends most of his time in a wheelchair (sorry, the author's into wheelchairs). 6. A love project born from sharing ideas with my friend. My friend may occasionally contribute something (shh). 7. The Yukiko-series extras are just for fun and have no impact on the main story. I'm just playing around with various kinds of unreliable narration. Theme: Adults choose ()
