Young Master Yu Yan of the Yu family had enjoyed eighteen smooth-sailing years. He didn't know whether it was something about him or the weather, but ever since he could remember, the world he saw had always seemed shrouded in mist. Over time, he got used to it.
One ordinary day, a fine drizzle fell from the sky, making the mist in his eyes even thicker. Then a scene straight out of a novel actually happened to him.
Yu Yan was bound to a System, which claimed that he had to make the protagonist feel the love in the world. Only when the protagonist's affection meter was full could he return to his own world.
Yu Yan didn't understand, but if that was the only way to get home, he might as well give it a try.
It turned out that raising a child was a little difficult for him. He had no idea how to get along with the child, so all he could do was sincerely treat him well. Before he knew it, he had completed the mission and returned to the real world.
But even after returning to the real world, the world in Yu Yan's eyes was still shrouded in mist.
When Yu Yan went back to the old family home, he discovered someone there who shouldn't have been. Yet everyone around him seemed to know that person existed.
He didn't know whether the world was sick or he was, but he knew his family was real.
But just as he thought he was in reality, he returned to that place again, the place likewise enveloped in mist, where someone was waiting for him to come back.
He couldn't understand why it had to be him, or why he had to go through all this. No one cared what he wanted.
Yu Yan felt like he was about to go mad. Just as he suspected, there really was something wrong with him, but... what could he do about it?
Later on...
On the road, Yu Yan heard a voice telling him it was time to go home. So he found a stretch of sea, clear and boundless, a sea that could swallow him whole.
He slowly walked into the sea, feeling the cold water against his skin. He couldn't tell whether his body was cold or the water was colder. He felt cold to the bone. The water slowly rose over his head, and as he hovered on the verge of death, he saw what was real.
