Top student Bai Xi transmigrated into a book, becoming a bootlicking cannon-fodder character in a novel about a universally adored heartthrob.
In the original story, he fell in love at first sight with the aloof male lead. Every day, he did everything he could to get the man's attention, pursuing him shamelessly in all sorts of ways. His classmates sneered that he was dirt poor yet still wanted to be a bootlicker, and in the end, he became the laughingstock of the whole school.
After reading the plot, Bai Xi's face fell.
What kind of hellish plot is this? Can't I refuse?
The System quietly appeared: Actually, you're the real young master of a wealthy family, switched at birth. Just follow the plot and you'll be welcomed back into the family!
Bai Xi sprang back to life: This little thing? Leave it to me!
So Bai Xi started obediently following the plot.
Every day, he ignored the male lead's cold expression and stuck close to him. On monthly exams that were ridiculously easy for him, he filled the pages with Su Huaijing's name, working hard to protect his lavish future.
A year later, Bai Xi finally completed the main storyline and regained his freedom. He had also become the province's mysterious top scorer.
He happily blocked Su Huaijing's contact information, was welcomed home by his wealthy parents, who ran to him in tears, and became the family's pampered young master.
.
What Bai Xi didn't know was that on the day he left, Su Huaijing searched practically every corner of the city. At last, he spent the entire night in the rain beneath Bai Xi's apartment, the monthly exam paper in his arms the only thing he kept dry.
.
With ten million in spending money from his parents, Bai Xi spent a lavish and joyful summer vacation.
On the day he returned to school, Bai Xi was planning to find a handsome campus heartthrob to date when someone dragged him into a grove.
Su Huaijing pinned him against a tree, scorching possessiveness raging in his eyes. "Didn't you like sticking close to me and say you'd love me forever? Xixi, people who break their promises have to be punished."
Bai Xi: "Wah..."
He doesn't want to stick close to him anymore.
