Under Your Protection [GB]

GB/Sweet Romance

The ABO world descended without warning, and the old order teetered on the brink of collapse. Lu Shengqing was urgently "placed" by his grandfather in the care of Pu Yi, an ancient Alpha ancestor who had supposedly slept for over a thousand years and only just awakened, in hopes of finding protection.

Protection? Lu Shengqing had been hailed as the youngest promising director and CEO of the Lu family. Did he really need to be protected by an ancient who had just woken up, couldn't use a phone, spoke in classical Chinese, and didn't even know how to get dressed?

As it turned out, he really did.

Lu Shengqing suddenly presented as an Omega. Before he had learned to control it, his pheromones drifted out, and a group of Alphas surrounded him on the street.

With order in chaos and almost nowhere to turn for help, Lu Shengqing could only call her with trembling hands. When she arrived, he calmly stepped behind her as if nothing had happened.

Those Alphas were no match for her, and scattered after a single encounter.

After helping him, Pu Yi turned and headed straight back. Lu Shengqing followed her all the way.

They finally stopped at the entrance, one inside the door and the other outside.

"I shall teach you how to change clothes." Lu Shengqing watched her in silence, then carefully squeezed out a sentence in classical Chinese.

Pu Yi looked at her friend's descendant, so many generations removed she had lost count, staring at her with a solemn expression. But the redness at the corners of his eyes and his trembling hands betrayed his vulnerability.

So be it. She had made a promise to his ancestor.

Late that night, Pu Yi heard someone breathing raggedly beside her bed, leaning against her blankets. Stifled gasps escaped him, and the room was filled with a rich fragrance. He had clearly found no way to relieve himself, yet stubbornly refused to speak first.

Moonlight spilled across the windowsill. At last, Pu Yi spoke: "Come here."
