A chance encounter, and two young men gradually drift apart along the paths of their lives. One, born into a noble family, grows to despise officialdom and retreats to the mountains. The other, born into a humble family, receives help from a benefactor, and little by little becomes the very kind of person “he” despises... The moon is destined to set. He reaches out to scoop it up, but cannot find him. Only then does he finally understand, but it is too late to turn back.
