In the dim room, that person's voice was gentle yet firm.
"Goodbye. Take care... And please, forgive humanity."

Part Two: The Bluebird
"It seems like they're trying to send a message."
Outside the outpost, hundreds of blue birds circled overhead. Though they were contaminants, they had never contaminated a living creature. Instead, many had been eaten by other contaminants passing by.
-"No one can turn a blind eye to a disaster threatening all of humanity. They're trying to save their home in their own way."
-"Humans are strange. They complain and grumble, but they never give up."
Part Three: The Lovebirds
"Do you love her?"
A bird with only one wing asked.
"I-I do! I love her!"
The man stammered, shouting as if trying to muster his courage.
"Then why do you hit her?"
The bird was puzzled.
"Ah, ahhh! Please, let me go! I won't hit her again! I promise! I swear!"
"But how could those words possibly be true? Right? You've said them so many times before, but you..."
The bird did not finish. It only smiled silently, then turned into a great mass of white feathers that covered the man.
"Aaaaaah!"
-"I hope Weili can call me Lan, like he did when we first met."
-"..."
-"I love you."
Part Four: The Thornbird
"Does he know?"
"No. Qiao, I hope you can help me keep it from him."
"But nothing stays hidden forever."

"I understand."
