A Socially Anxious Boy's Everyday Volleyball Life

Sahara Zeiichi was a gifted outside hitter on the team that won the youth division of the former Global Volleyball League.

Two years after giving up volleyball, he transfers from the United States to a school in Japan.

Aoba Johsai? Sounds nice. What an elegant name. It must be an academically strong school full of bookworms!

Full of anticipation for his new school, he transfers to Aoba Johsai High.

On his first day, he regrets it.

Why is this a volleyball powerhouse?!

Scene One:

Kindaichi (staring at Sahara Zeiichi): "You're Sahara Zeiichi, right? The genius outside hitter? Come play volleyball with us!"

Kunimi Akira: "You're really good at volleyball." (Quietly sends a club application to Sahara Zeiichi's phone.)

Oikawa Toru (smiling kindly): "Interested in joining Aoba Johsai's volleyball club, Sahara?"

Irihata Nobuteru: "You're a very talented kid. If you love volleyball, keep playing until you don't love it anymore."

Sahara Zeiichi: Help! Why does everyone keep trying to drag me into the volleyball club to play volleyball?

Scene Two:

At a match, Sahara Zeiichi, dressed in his uniform, enters the arena with the team. A huge wave of cheers immediately rises from the stands.

Sahara Zeiichi shudders, his expression turning grave.

Sahara Zeiichi: So many people... Oh no, I'm so nervous I feel like throwing up... I'm really not good at dealing with people...

Aoba Johsai's starting players see his expression, look away, and silently put their hands behind their heads.

Other players: Sahara's presence is so intense. Today's match should be in the bag.

The opposing team (sweating buckets): What's with that guy on the other side? His eyes are terrifying! He's wearing such a casual expression, but why does it still feel like he's mocking us?

"Sahara, get ready to go in."

"Our goal is the national championship!"

The protagonist has emotional baggage at the beginning, but with help from everyone at Aoba Johsai, he'll slowly work through it. Later, he'll gradually regain his skills and continue to grow.

The protagonist is a naturally gifted genius who works hard later on. He has the "I break through when I'm losing" trait and severe social anxiety.

He was born with a naturally mocking face and is often misunderstood. He's a classic "volleyball genius" and "life-idiot."

1. The heroine attracts setters, so there will be lots of scenes of her interacting with other setters. But the male lead is only Caramel Pudding. They'll be mutually in love from beginning to end!

2. Kuroo Tetsuro is the heroine's older brother, but they don't look alike. This is a personal headcanon. Don't read if that bothers you.

3. The story focuses on daily life, with little volleyball.
