After Yan Shu returned to China, the former teacher of his parents, now the principal of No. 2 High School, escorted him into the school.

Only Pei Qiu knew that they had first met in a dim, yellow-lit alley. Five-year-old Yan Shu sat on a shabby sofa in a foreign land, a cat curled up on his lap as he waited for someone to come find him. His amber eyes were just like a cat’s.

So no matter how many years passed, he never forgot his catlike friend.
