A story about spring in Boston, featuring the CEO of Changming Pharmaceuticals and a surgeon.

Blurb One:
In spring, the willows bud and the magnolias bloom in Boston.
Qi Ji saves an elderly man suffering a heart attack outside Trinity Church. A crowd gathers around them, and an ambulance's siren wails.
Leaning against the church wall, she slowly calms her racing heart, then spots a man standing apart from the crowd.
His features are striking, and his tall, straight frame looks especially impressive in his black coat. She can't take her eyes off him.
After twenty uninterrupted minutes of CPR, she's utterly exhausted. He tells her, "Let me take over."
Maybe it was his deep, resonant voice, or maybe it was the fact that he had the same mixed-race features as her late ex-boyfriend.
As the ambulance's siren fades into the distance, she tosses the lighter in her pocket and deftly pinches a slim cigarette between her long fingers. In a soft voice, she asks, "Sir, could I borrow a light?"
A spring night along the Charles River.
A kiss by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city from Hub/50.
Qi Ji gently hooks a finger through the tie of the man in front of her. "Mr. Meng, if you don't smoke, why do you carry a lighter?"
Meng Yi looks up, panting, and gives her a faint smile. "Because I'm waiting for a woman to ask for a light."
"Babe, the worst thing you can do while kissing is let your mind wander." His voice is low. His gaze drifts lazily over her swollen red lips, and his eyes set everything they touch ablaze.

Blurb Two:
In the spring of 2017, Meng Yi, who prided himself on his self-control, fell desperately in love with a woman.
He had seen her before.
At the funeral of his late younger brother, Chen Zizong, she'd arrived in a black dress with a magnolia blossom to pay her respects, only to be driven away by his own mother.
A little earlier, on a midsummer day beneath a rosewood tree in Hong Kong,
a girl had pouted and asked him for a kiss. "Azong, the worst thing you can do while kissing is let your mind wander."
Afraid his inability to speak Cantonese would give him away, Meng Yi closed his eyes and lowered his head to capture her lips.
The faint scent of mint and tobacco burst between their lips. Staying clearheaded as he sank into temptation: that was his memory of that summer.
Eighteen-year-old Qi Ji has a secret.
She seems to have fallen in love with kissing her boyfriend's older brother.
Twenty-three-year-old Meng Yi has a secret, too.
As the ferry pulled away from the harbor and their final kiss ended, he found an unclaimed lighter on the deck.
"Spring comes late, and love takes its time."
Mature leads / mistaken identities in love / rekindled romance
