Yuexi / Lin Yu: Once a mountain god in the realm of mountain gods, she accidentally fell into the human world because her romantic tribulation remained unresolved.
Yuan Chen / Li Jichen: Once the crown prince of Heaven, he was betrothed at birth to Yuexi, the mountain god he admired. On their wedding night, the Demon Lord rebelled, so before the wedding could be completed, he led the heavenly troops into the demon realm to kill the Demon Lord. But he lost his immortal aura and vanished without a trace.
The early part, set in the mortal world, mainly follows the development of Yuexi and Yuan Chen's relationship. After they return to the Three Realms, the story becomes an ensemble cast narrative. Besides Yuexi and Yuan Chen, the main characters include:
Rong Nian / Xie Xi, Yun Luo / Zhang Ning'er, Ling Shan / He Zishan, Xue Ye / Snow Rabbit, Ming Feng, and Lian Yue / Feng Lan.
Note: Rong Nian and Yun Luo are not a couple, and there is no romance between them. During their time in the Longde world, they claim to be Lin Yu's master and master's wife just to tease her, taking on these identities in Lin Yu's world.
As for the infinite-flow tag, that will come later.
The story has roughly three stages. The first takes place in the mortal world of Longde. It follows the development of Lin Yu and Li Jichen's relationship. Li Jichen is Lin Yu's mission target, and Lin Yu is Li Jichen's emotional refuge. At first, Lin Yu is acting seven parts and sincere three parts toward Li Jichen, but later Li Jichen will move her.
The second stage takes place in the polar regions, which is to say, the Three Realms. This is an ensemble story focused on the protagonists' everyday lives in the Three Realms. But beneath the seemingly peaceful life of the Three Realms, undercurrents are gathering, and this will set the stage for the third part of the story.
The third stage has two pairs of protagonists, with their stories told in two separate plotlines.
Theme: The wind howls, and people grow old. Live in the present and cherish the person beside you.
