Being in a Band Is Risky, So Choose Your Members Carefully

What should you know when starting a band?

As someone who started a band from scratch, A-Dou thinks she has a few things to say.

1. A band needs a stage

A-Dou plans to have her band play regular gigs at her bar. One day, she chats with a red-haired man there.

Red-haired man: I'm Oda Sakunosuke, the new employee.

A-Dou: All right, Mr. Oda Sakunosuke.

A-Dou again: Wait, who?

2. A band needs money for performances

A-Dou: Let's get part-time jobs and earn some money!

Friend X (silently pulls out a dagger): Earn money? Looks like I'll have to return to my old line of work.

A-Dou: Huh?!

Friend C: Calm down!

Friend C again (pulls out a gun): Use this. It's the age of firearms.

A-Dou: Act normal!!

3. Band members' personal affairs might affect their attendance

Friend X: That gentleman suspects my loyalty. I can't be in the band now.

A-Dou (handing over some documents): It's fine. Just get a new identity!

Friend X: ? Isn't that surname...

A-Dou: It's fine, just a coincidence.

A-Dou again (spotting a certain pink-haired graduate student from Todai in the audience, looking guilty): It should be a coincidence, haha?

4. Band members may occasionally change

A-Dou (pointing at a certain undercover Public Security agent): This is our new member, A-Yu!

Friend C: Yu and Kei sound the same...

A-Dou: The most dangerous place is the safest place.

New member (smiling): But I just saw Zero at the bar.

All in all, starting a band is exhausting.

So says A-Dou.

After living an ordinary life until the age of sixteen, A-Dou (a nickname) suddenly regained the memories of her previous life one day, and discovered something that shattered her worldview.

She was actually living in a manga world.

A high-risk crossover world of Bungo Stray Dogs and Detective Conan, no less.

But that's not the point.

The point is that her two friends from her past life, who lived with her, had regained their memories ages ago and had never told her.

Their reason was that it was fun watching her remain in the dark.

A-Dou: Nice.

In theory, regaining her memories shouldn't cause any problems. She could still live just like before.

Provided her friends weren't an undercover agent sent to the Port Mafia and a member of an international criminal organization known by a code name.

A-Dou: Fine.

Well, that didn't matter either. Her friends had multiple identities, and what did that have to do with her?

That's what A-Dou thought as she stared at "herself" in the thick fog of Yokohama.

That's what she used to think.

A-Dou: ...

Can I still pretend I don't know anything?

A-Dou wondered after reading the diary her adoptive father had left behind.

Warnings

1. A group transmigrates. The main cast is a trio, with two other transmigrators in supporting roles. Each person knows the two manga to a different degree.

2. The main cast may act immaturely or like chaotic, unhinged fan girls (for example, posting thirst content, shipping everyone, being multishippers, or being perverts (?)). Please avoid if that's not for you.

3. I've never been in a band, so please forgive any mistakes about band-related things.

4. A goofy story mainly featuring original characters, with a focus on putting the protagonists through the wringer. The style is casual, and so is the plot. Though the blurb might make it seem serious, the main plot doesn't hold up to close scrutiny.
