Expired Candy

[The print edition is now available]

[The audio drama, with the same title, is airing on Ximalaya]

[Thank you for enjoying it!]

[Rekindled romance]

Female director X male surgeon

Soft on the outside, steady at heart VS sharp-tongued but sincere

Blurb:

Later, Chen Mian, who hadn't wanted to be a doctor, became a doctor, while Cheng Xinran, who loved watching movies, became a director.

They both had bright futures ahead of them.

[This novel is all about focusing on romance]

A reunion after a long separation, rekindling an old flame. A little story about city folk, with some sweetness.

A somewhat slow-burn, realistic fairy tale, with lots of chatter.

No idea if they'll have a push-and-pull dynamic. I'll try, and if I can't manage it, blame the male lead.

For the stories of the two leads during their student days, see How to Eat an Expired Candy.

[Reader's notes]

1. One-on-one romance. The heroine has dated a man before, but nothing substantial came of it.

2. The characters have all kinds of personalities. The leads' personalities may mean they don't always say what's on their minds.

3. This is the urban storyline. After finishing it and reading both works through, I think it's better to read both. It's up to you.

Theme: No one can have both youth and the feeling of being young at the same time. Thankfully, it's never too late.
