My Toxic, Obsessive Ex Is Now My Boss

[Not mutually exclusive] [Playboy, fickle bottom x top who plots revenge after being dumped]

Fu Xiyan has always enjoyed playing with people's feelings, breaking up with them once the novelty wears off.

The one time it backfired was during her first love in college.

She knew Lin Hanmu had secretly loved her for years. In her eyes, Lin Hanmu was no different from a convenient bedmate, except that her excessively possessive nature was always a nuisance.

In the end, Fu Xiyan couldn't cut things off cleanly.

After discovering that Lin Hanmu was still secretly watching her, Fu Xiyan simply went abroad after graduation to enjoy herself.

Three years later, a work transfer brings her back to the country. Her direct supervisor is the ex-girlfriend she has been avoiding.

Fortunately, Lin Hanmu doesn't seem to recognize her and treats her no differently from anyone else.

Until one day, she matches with a woman who checks all her boxes and rushes off excitedly to meet her, only to meet the woman's icy gaze.

"Well, you really haven't changed," Lin Hanmu sneers in the throes of passion.

The next day, physically exhausted, Fu Xiyan has no choice but to take half a day off.

She hadn't intended to get involved with her ex again, but the woman was just too good at it.

Not only was she always available, she booked a presidential suite at a five-star hotel every time.

Fu Xiyan is considering turning their fleeting affair into something long-term when she sees a photo online of Lin Hanmu embracing her fiancée.

She is thunderstruck. In a daze, she tells Lin Hanmu they should end things.

"Don't you like playing around? Isn't sneaking around behind everyone's backs even more exciting?"

The woman lifts her chin and bites her lip savagely:

"This time, I won't let you get bored so quickly."

[Rekindled romance, melodramatic angst about a reunion after years apart, happy ending]

[They're both crazy, consumed by love and hate, and torment each other. They're a perfect match.]

[Once they make their relationship official, they are devoted to each other in every way.]

Theme: The simple, ordinary life is what matters.
