Love has different definitions in different eras.

Unlike marriage, romance is an interaction of mutual attraction between two or more people. It causes the human body to secrete dopamine, phenethylamine, endorphins, norepinephrine, oxytocin, serotonin, and so on.

Each chemical corresponds to a different behavior. If someone secretes too much dopamine and too little oxytocin, they might fall in love with everyone they meet. The levels of these two chemicals are partly related to genetic factors.

Hello, everyone. I'm the protagonist of this story, Minami Minami. I'm happy to discuss love with you, but on one condition:

Love doesn't actually exist in this world.

I can't be bothered to write this part. Anyway, I'm going to let loose in this book.

I really mean let loose, so don't have too many pointless expectations.

Any out-of-character behavior is on me. I just want to throw a bunch of detectives into one pot and stew them together (laughs).

If the first five chapters feel a little chuunibyou and don't flow very well, that's normal. I just dug out a draft I wrote six years ago and couldn't be bothered to revise it.
