The Lingering Warmth of Nightfall

[Reunited after a breakup | Ten years apart | Scheming blind top x working-class bottom raising a child | Happy ending]

Yu Wen found a new job.

“A powerful business mogul suddenly went blind. He needs someone to keep watch at night. He just fell from his pedestal, and he's got quite a temper. His family is afraid he'll jump off a building. He's already driven three trial hires away, and the pay's up to twenty thousand. Yu Wen, want to give it a try?”

Yu Wen: “Of course!”

On his first day, when he saw the man, Yu Wen said, “Sorry, I can't do this job.”

No one can take care of the person they broke up with in a devastating way ten years ago.

Not even a dog would do it.

But a softhearted god can't escape a trap tailored just for him.

The summer they once spent in each other's arms ended in a rush, and the two lost each other in the crowd.

Ten years later, they met again, with a gulf of misunderstanding between them.

Their old love had long since cooled, and they'd given up chasing the setting sun.

Then they discovered that the last warmth of a star at night was enough to carry them back to each other.

✨The child isn't biologically related to the bottom.
