Content warning: This is a writing-practice story, updated whenever inspiration strikes. I'll write whatever comes to mind. (I haven't started writing it yet, so I'll add more later.)
I'm not good at coming up with names, so I might keep changing them.
Blurb:
Li Liangzhen, who originally belonged to a game world, transmigrates into a melodramatic romance novel that's hard to describe.
When he transmigrates, he's still holding the heart-shaped lunchbox that the heroine just rejected. It looks like he was about to take it to school.
In the original story, the protagonist inherits his adoptive father's estate and custody of the male and female leads. Grateful, he raises his nominal younger brother and sister to adulthood, providing them with food, shelter, and even arranged jobs.
The heroine grows up pampered. In high school, she meets the male lead, and they fall in love. But the original protagonist tears them apart. Years later, they meet again and rekindle their romance. After a series of absurd face-slapping plots full of unspoken "I love you"s, unspoken "you love me"s, breakups and makeups, they finally get married and live happily ever after, after humiliating all the cannon fodder and villains.
At first glance, it all seems plausible. But Li Liangzhen furrows his brow and realizes something is wrong.
The original story ends like this:
"Li Yu stood by the floor-to-ceiling window. Lao Can wrapped his arms around her tiny waist from behind, and the two gazed out at the city below, smiling at each other.
'We can finally be together forever,' Lao Can said, stroking Li Yu's hair. 'It's such a relief. That so-called brother of yours has completely disappeared. No one will get in our way anymore.'
'You mean Li Liangzhen?' Li Yu huffed. 'Who knows? Good riddance if he's dead. And I've told you, he's not my brother!'
Lao Can raised an eyebrow and softly soothed Li Yu with his magnetic voice. The two of them looked blissfully happy, their affection as sweet as honey.
And they would go on being happy forever."
Li Liangzhen: ... (Deeply shocked, slowly gives it a rating of six.)
He doesn't understand, and he doesn't respect it. He doesn't expect to accept it for the next hundred years.
Anyway, he's now Li Liangzhen.
And now, Li Liangzhen is going to run everyone over.
Theme: A moment of impulse
