What's Wrong with My Tokusatsu Career?

Lin Mingye, male, 15 years old, a second-year student at Chikong City No. 6 Middle School.

While walking home at night, he encounters a strange creature and a warrior who wields elemental powers. The warrior saves his life, and Lin Mingye discovers that he has a special power of his own.

After that night, the hidden side of the city gradually unfolds before him: the ten years Chikong City has spent under an information blackout; the reason shadow monsters keep appearing in the city; the Four Sacred Beasts trapped within Chikong City; the secret behind the night his parents died; and, most importantly, the flame he wields, the power sought by both heroes and villains, capable of overturning the city's dangerous balance.

By the laws of tokusatsu, he should now be embarking on episodic adventures, leveling up and fighting monsters, while following the main story as a lone hero who saves the city...

In reality, he's stuck in a special competition class with other teenage warriors, from seven in the morning until nine at night. He's usually not even allowed to take on a support role, and has to squeeze in time between tutoring sessions to rush out and handle incidents. Lin Mingye can't help wondering:

Isn't there something wrong with his tokusatsu life?

The second male lead and government liaison (^V^): What's wrong with it? High school students should study hard and strive every day. Leave everything else to the adults.

The second male lead and government liaison (^V^): Trust the police! Trust the country! Trust in technological progress!

Lin Mingye: But... school physicals, surveillance data, and acting like the neighborhood committee for teenagers really aren't very tokusatsu!

An original tokusatsu story. Ensemble cast, happy ending, fictional setting unrelated to reality. Everyday hijinks with superpowered high school students acting as a neighborhood committee.
