Sun Wukong had just driven back two waves of celestial soldiers. He was about to take off his armor and have a romp in the grass when dark clouds gathered in the sky once more.
He never expected the handsome young man atop the clouds. Before Wukong could ask anything, the young man declared in a clear voice:
"I am Yang Jian, the Jade Emperor's nephew, the True Lord of Manifest Divinity. By imperial decree, I have come to marry you."
Wukong: If only I hadn't kept the Golden Cudgel in my ear. Now my hearing's damaged.
The Great Sage grabbed the little demon beside him who was waving a flag and asked:
"What? What did he just say?"
The little demon stammered, "Great King... he said... he said he wants to marry you!"
Wukong and Yang Jian somehow end up married. Along with six-year-old Jiang Liuer, Bajie, who handles the cooking, the hardworking and down-to-earth Junior Brother Sha, and Little White Dragon, who serves as the baby-carrying tool, they set off on the journey to obtain the scriptures after a mix-up in the timeline.
Pairing: Yang Jian x Sun Wukong. Married first, fall in love later; raising a child and fighting monsters.
ABO elements serve the plot. Brother Monkey is a human-shaped boy with a tail. Yang Jian's background follows Journey to the West: he once split open Peach Mountain with an axe and rescued his mother, Lady Yunhua.
Theme: Wherever you turn back in longing, there lies Spirit Mountain.
It's so cute. It reminds me of the joy I had when reading novels. Will my wife continue to write?
