A Clichéd Tale of Chasing Your Wife to the Crematorium

[Not contracted. Writing is difficult, updates are slow]

Du Yunting lay in a pool of blood, watching cars pass by as memories rushed through his mind. He closed his eyes and began to reminisce.

A year earlier, Du Yunting had fallen off a cliff. When he woke up, he had lost his memory. That was when he met Fei Jingchen.

Fei Jingchen was the son of a real estate tycoon. Taking pity on Du Yunting, who had no one after a car accident, he took him home.

Fei Jingchen treated him very well. He gave him a new name and took care of him when he was seriously ill. He even brought him along to work, despite how busy he was. He didn't mind that Du Yunting had no memories and nowhere to call home.

Du Yunting thought Fei Jingchen really liked him, that he truly loved him. But in truth, Fei Jingchen had only been using him.

Fei Jingchen used him as a tool in the fight for the family fortune, as a sacrifice to help him climb the ladder, and even as a bedmate.

Eventually, Du Yunting grew tired of it and was kicked out of the house.

He had no idea where to go. Sweaty and exhausted, he walked across a crosswalk. A speeding car hit him, and he ended up lying in a pool of blood.

Du Yunting closed his eyes and thought back on his time with Fei Jingchen. He wanted to forget him.

A year later, Du Yunting, once looked down on by everyone, had become the president of a publicly listed company. He had money, power, and fame, and lived a life others envied.

And his former lover, Fei Jingchen, stood outside his house, begging for forgiveness.

Du Yunting looked at him in confusion. "Who are you?"

Du Yunting had forgotten the past, and he had forgotten Fei Jingchen.

Fei Jingchen's eyes were bloodshot as he stared at him, unable to speak for a long time.

Later, people around Du Yunting noticed Fei Jingchen following him around like a little sidekick. Curious, one of them asked, "He's pursuing you! Usually, if you like someone, you get together, and if you don't, you turn them down. Why are you letting him follow you around?"

Du Yunting swirled his glass of red wine and said coolly, "I've always needed someone to gather information for me. He's just right for the job. I'm only using him."

His friend said, "I thought you liked him."

Du Yunting scoffed. "Like him? Who would like a pawn?"
