Please note before reading:
Long Haochen and Sheng Cai'er are not a couple in this story.
The heroine is attracted to people of all genders and has many lovers. If that’s not for you, please don’t read.
Shun Yue’s appearance is based on Yue from Honor of Kings, so it’s normal for her to look similar.
Standard version:
Shun Yue is an exceptionally beautiful woman, but no one knows where she came from. People only know that she emerged from the Assassin Temple, appearing out of nowhere like a shooting star. Back when she took first place in the Demon Hunt Squad Selection Tournament, she caused a sensation and stirred up a huge commotion. She has mastered not only the skills of an assassin, but also the abilities of the other five great temples.
She vanished after the tournament, and no one knew where she had gone. It was only after her thrilling battle against Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu that people learned the truth: Shun Yue had gone straight into the demon realm and caused a huge uproar, all to find someone who could match her in a fight. In the end, she got to battle Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu. According to those stationed at the Exorcist Pass, their clash was spectacular, with dazzling displays of power. Neither won; they fought to a draw.
After that battle, the two shared a relationship that was part rival, part friend. They understood each other as kindred spirits who knew the loneliness of standing alone at the top, and they were each other’s rivals.
Shun Yue is unlike ordinary people. She is immortal. She watches the seasons turn and human lives flicker by, while she herself never changes.
So she decides to pass the long ages in slumber. But when she wakes, she finds two interesting children and takes a keen interest in them. She decides to raise them. The little girl is taken back by her clan for a family trial, while the little boy grows rapidly through his relentless efforts, day and night.
Everything is moving in the direction it should...
Long Haochen and Cai’er version:
Long Haochen and Sheng Cai’er first meet Shun Yue in Odin Town. They both fall for her. Shun Yue tells Sheng Cai’er that she has to become strong if she wants to see her again, so Sheng Cai’er trains tirelessly. She even sticks with the trials of the Reincarnation Saintess, which she hates with all her heart, just so she can see Shun Yue again. Before leaving, she gives Shun Yue a forget-me-not ring.
Whenever Long Haochen thinks back to the first time he met Shun Yue, he feels embarrassed. He wanted to show off in front of her, but instead she had to save him. To stand by her side, he accepts training from his biological father, Long Xingyu. At last, in the Holy City, he sees the person he has never been able to stop thinking about...
Shun Yue version:
In truth, Shun Yue doesn’t know where she came from, but she doesn’t care to find out. Although she comes from the Assassin Temple, she knows the abilities and techniques of all Six Great Temples. The people of the Temple Alliance call her humanity’s salvation, its only hope. But she doesn’t care whether humanity lives or dies. The conflict between demons and humans has nothing to do with her, so she disappears without a trace after winning the Demon Hunt Squad Selection Tournament.
She has an ability ordinary people lack: immortality. But she is lonely, utterly alone. So she keeps searching for an opponent who can match her, and at last she finds one: Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu, her ultimate target. After their battle, she and Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu develop a deep mutual respect. They understand each other. They are kindred spirits and rivals.
Later, she raises a Child of Light, a genius seen only once in a thousand years. Watching him grow day by day, she finally can’t resist pinning him down. She adores beautiful people and things, so she takes him into herself. When she sees the little girl’s tearful, aggrieved eyes, she says:
“Don’t worry. How could I ever forget you, my darling little sweetheart~”
