Amnesia Trope | Naive Girl x Refined Scoundrel
1.
Chen Xiu has loved someone for many years. Unfortunately, he lost his memory.
All their vows of eternal love have been voided, and every promise has become an empty check.
The look he gives her is strange and flippant, piercing her heart with pain.
Chen Xiu refuses to give up. She is determined to awaken his memories, racking her brains and going to great lengths to do so.
He turns no one away, as if he really has been moved by her. But one day, Chen Xiu goes to deliver his birthday present and overhears him casually telling someone, "I'm just messing around with a young girl. It's nothing serious."
She stands silently outside the door, then walks away without a word. She never comes back.

After a power struggle among the wealthy, the promising young Qi Huaichen emerges as the ultimate winner. But on the very day he takes over as chairman, he gets into a car accident and unexpectedly loses his memory.
When he wakes up, a girl is clinging to him, repeating, "You once said you loved me."
Qi Huaichen accepts her words at face value, but sneers inwardly.
He may not know her, but he knows himself. When has he ever cared about love?
Then, one day, the girl who said she loved him so much leaves.
Standing in the cold wind, Qi Huaichen looks around in a daze. It feels as though a piece of his heart has gone missing, too.
Much later, Qi Huaichen finally finds her after traveling over mountains and rivers.
Putting on a refined air, he gently coaxes her. "You promised to celebrate my birthday with me. How can you go back on your word?"
The girl who once looked at him with eyes full of love now lowers her gaze and refuses to look at him. "Haven't you already forgotten?"
"Oh." Qi Huaichen leisurely pushes up his glasses and taps his temple. "I forgot here."
Then he takes her hand and presses it to his chest. "But not here."
