Sinking deep into the mire, prowling through the dark of night.
A shadowy rose blooms in midsummer.
The day Meng Huai transferred to the Lan Hai City Public Security Bureau, a "connected hire" arrived from the provincial department.
He was parachuted straight into the criminal investigation squad and became Meng Huai's direct superior.
On his first day, Meng Huai walked into the lobby and immediately collided with the so-called "connected hire," Jiang Muchuan.
Meng Huai glanced up at the spiky-haired man, froze for a moment, then turned and walked away.
Jiang Muchuan, however, stood there in shock.
From that moment on,
the two, brought together by chance as roommates, began living at each other's throats. Jiang Muchuan found new ways to "harass" Meng Huai almost every day...
"Deputy Meng, are you an only child?"
"What's it to you?"
"Meng Huai, you really look a lot like an old friend of mine."
Jiang Muchuan leaned down, closely studying Meng Huai's face.
Close enough to count Jiang Muchuan's eyelashes, Meng Huai finally lost his patience, stepped back, and rolled his eyes.
He slapped the case report into Jiang Muchuan's arms.
"Captain Jiang, we've never met. No need to doubt it."
Until Meng Huai was identified as a murderer and saw on the surveillance footage a face almost identical to his own...
A dashing, handsome, all-around capable top who seems carefree but is actually sensitive and perceptive, a wolf type with a bit of husky blood vs. a youthful-looking, cool, calm, and composed bottom who is severely allergic to narcissism (and can really fight!)
A few notes:
1. Age gap, both virgins, each other's first love.
2. I'm practicing my writing, plotting, and pacing. Feel free to point out problems, but please don't swear. Thanks
Theme: Justice above all

Food allergy doesn't usually take half an hour to show symptoms, but can it turn red as soon as you eat something?
Why can't it be his pet? It's quite fashionable.
