No Second Offense

When Ji Xiaohan was about to move out of the riverside villa, Shang Tinglan didn't stop her.

He just sat on the sofa, smoking, and coldly told her she could throw a tantrum, but she had to come back within three days. He'd let it go this time.

Shang Tinglan: "Xiaohan, don't push it. I don't have that much patience. If you don't come back, don't bother coming back at all."

Through the swirling smoke, Ji Xiaohan's misty eyes seemed to smile. She raised a hand and gave him an OK sign, then dragged her suitcase away.

One of its spinner wheels was broken. As soon as it left the carpet, it scraped along the floor with an ear-splitting noise.

Shang Tinglan began to wait.

He didn't change the door code or revoke her access. He was waiting for the day Ji Xiaohan came dragging her suitcase back.

After all, it's hard to go from luxury to a simpler life. He waited for Ji Xiaohan to reach her limit, to come to her senses and come back to beg him.

Ji Xiaohan: Don't get your hopes up. That's probably never going to happen.

Basically, it's a story about two people who were in love, but the male lead was just self-aware enough to be insufferable and talked himself into losing his wife. Then he starts acting human and trying to win her back.

A groveling romance with forced love. I've really run out of ideas for a blurb, so just bear with me.

A story written for my own amusement. If it's not your thing, don't force yourself to read it.

I've been especially eager to write this lately.
