He reached out and took her wrist. His fingertips were cold, and the damp, clammy chill of the rain swept toward her.
Beneath his hat brim was a pale, refined face. His beautiful black eyes stared fixedly at her as he gave an inscrutable smile, faint and uncanny. "Miss Yu, the rain is heavy and the ground is slippery. Be careful."
Yu Shan always thought Nie Jin was merely a private bodyguard with a handsome face. Then one day, by chance, she noticed the black tattoo on his waist.
Beneath that tattoo lay a secret he had hidden for years.
And her own secret lay beneath those vacant eyes.
