The synopsis for my next novel, Shattered Jade, is below.
Synopsis
A fortune-teller said that a benefactor was written in my fate, someone destined for great success and boundless prospects.
My mother was delighted and gave him a whole tael as a tip. She also asked who this benefactor was and when he would appear.
The fortune-teller smiled mysteriously. "Heaven's secrets cannot be revealed. You need only know that he is someone close to you."
Later, my mother came up with a plan. She got the fortune-teller drunk on two jars of wine and learned the most important detail: this benefactor was a man who had grown up with me, childhood friends since we were little.
My mother was grinning from ear to ear, and I smiled along with her.
As I smiled, a question occurred to me.
I have four childhood friends.
The twin brothers next door are opposites, one lively and one quiet. One often makes me cry, and the other gently comforts me.
"An'an, don't cry." The older twin wiped away my tears, while his younger brother watched me shyly.
But when I wasn't around, they often got into vicious fights, and wouldn't dare see me with their faces bruised and swollen.
The young man across the street is handsome and skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. His only flaw is that he is unable to walk, and sometimes he looks at me strangely.
"An'an, come here." His gaze was dark as he reached out to me from the shadows.
There's also someone temporarily staying at my house. I asked him, "Are you my childhood friend?"
He scoffed. "In your dreams."
But sometimes when he turned around, I caught him sneaking a look at me, only for him to turn away and deny it.
All four of my childhood friends are strange in their own ways. My mother said I should get along with all of them, and I agreed, doing a pretty good job of it until
On Qixi, I delivered my love letter to the wrong person. The wheelchair-bound young man, who should have appeared at a different time, stood with the twin brothers behind him. All three stared at me with complicated expressions.
I knew something was very wrong and tried to make a quick getaway, but the moment I turned around, I ran into someone's arms.
All four of them... Why did they show up at the same time?

Synopsis for Shattered Jade
Su Mo'er never imagined that the fiance she had abandoned would return alive.
Five years ago, they were both servants in the manor. After secretly falling in love, they agreed to marry at the end of the year, but she turned around and married the eldest young master instead.
The world fell into chaos, and fate played its tricks. Five years later, he had claimed a territory and become its ruler, while she was offered to him as a gift and sent to his bed.
"You're selfish and scheming, calculating every move. Did you ever think that one day you'd fall into my hands?"
Ning Zhenshan caressed her cheek, his gaze dark, as if he hated her so much he wanted to drink her blood and devour her flesh.
Faced with life and death, she naturally played along to secure a way out, and expected him to torment her cruelly in revenge.
She never expected him to torment her like this.
Her hand gripping the bed curtains had gone limp, but the man behind her still wouldn't stop. A subtle fragrance drifted through the air; sweat soaked her skin. As she drifted toward sleep, she heard him ask:
"Where is the bastard you had with the eldest young master?"
Su Mo'er shuddered.
"Don't you dare touch him, or I'll make you regret it!"
Ning Zhenshan sneered, planning to find the little brat and kill him.
Later, when the eyesore of a brat was dragged before him, the more he looked, the more something seemed off.
"Who is your father?" Ning Zhenshan asked, looking at the features that resembled his own.
"My father is dead!" the little brat yelled, eyes red, and bit down hard on his arm.
Ning Zhenshan smiled.
Cold-blooded, unfeeling, and just like him, as if carved from the same mold.
No one knew that all the joy and sorrow he had experienced in this life were a facade. He was a monster without feelings, an outsider who looked on indifferently.
Until he met Su Mo'er.
She was the one fate had destined him to search for in madness for five years, and the shackles that bound the monster.
A self-serving heroine VS a rough, love-struck hero. A story of rekindled love after a breakup.
Theme: Set your sights on a goal and bravely move forward
