Qin Youxi had excellent grades, striking good looks, and a steady relationship. By all rights, he should have had a bright future and a carefree life.

The junior's eyes lit up, and he beamed. "That's a relief."

What Qin Youxi didn't know was that he had first met his junior ten years ago. He also had no idea the junior had been searching for him all this time.

Out of Qin Youxi's sight, the junior's eyes were as black as a predator's, gazing at him with obsession and longing.

Ji Zhili was quiet and reserved. He hid his feelings for Ren You so well that nobody knew, until he let it slip once and his deskmate found out.

His deskmate stared in disbelief. "Huh? You didn't know Ren You already likes someone?"

Of course he knew. He also knew Ren You and the person he liked were a perfect match, dazzling all of No. 12 High School.

And Ji Zhili was just an unremarkable, dull-looking extra, someone people only remembered as Ren You's childhood friend.

But Ji Zhili thought he still had one important place in Ren You's life: as a witness to Ren You's passionate romance.

His love had warmed and cooled so many times that at last it went cold for good, and Ji Zhili finally stopped loving Ren You.

Later, Ji Zhili still made it into X University. At the freshman orientation, Ren You dragged him into a corner, gritting his teeth.

"You blocked me and moved without telling me. Are you trying to drive me crazy? And who was that person sitting next to you just now? Why were you two so close?"

Ji Zhili brushed his hand away. His usually gentle eyes were as cool as water. "What does it have to do with you?"
