Coming Soon: You're Really Giving Me Money?
The author of an old-school, melodramatic Jinjiang novel gets flamed into disappearing, leaving behind a male lead, Lu Mi, who hasn't yet made his comeback and is still acting like a lovesick doormat.
Perhaps fate wants to fix the ending and calm the readers down. Song Zhao, a Pixiu spirit, transmigrates into the melodramatic novel as the domineering CEO who abuses Lu Mi physically and emotionally.
At the dining table, Song Zhao angrily picks up the steaming soup. Lu Mi, who has lived a second life and now knows the truth, gives a cold smile, ready to have the soup poured over his head and be humiliated. Six months from now, he'll return the favor twice over.
Song Zhao holds the soup and cheerfully turns to the butler. "I want some too!"
Watching the young master drink his soup, the butler gently dabs at the tears in his eyes with a handkerchief. "It's been so long since the young master drank his soup so obediently."
Lu Mi, completely ignored: "?"
After finishing two bowls, Song Zhao finally remembers the male lead beside him and pats his shoulder meaningfully. "I, the Great Pixiu King, have come to save you."
Lu Mi pauses, then parts his thin lips. "Butler, call a doctor."
The plot reaches its pivotal humiliation scene.
At a Song family gathering, Song Zhao shields Lu Mi behind him and tears into everyone single-handedly, leaving his bloodsucking relatives so furious they scramble to take their fast-acting heart medicine.
Lu Mi tugs at his sleeve from behind, his eyes full of complicated emotions. "Who are you, really?"
After his great victory, Song Zhao gives him a slightly disdainful look. "I told you. I'm the Great Pixiu King."
Lu Mi, his emotions scattered: "..."
In the end, with Song Zhao leading him into one pitfall after another, Lu Mi rises to become a new business legend. But he still has one problem.
The internet-addicted teenager Song Zhao gets caught playing games at three in the morning for the eighth time. The cold and ruthless Lu Mi orders the internet cut off for a week.
Unable to bear this humiliation, Song Zhao leaves divorce papers one night and runs away from home with his Samoyed.
At a banquet, Lu Mi hears the news, abandons everyone, and hurries home. He eventually finds Song Zhao curled up on a bench not far from their home, huddled together with the Samoyed.
Lu Mi fights down his anger and drapes his coat over him.
Song Zhao wakes with a start. When he recognizes Lu Mi, he grabs his arm. "Lu Mi..."
All of Lu Mi's anger and worry vanish when he sees Song Zhao looking so pitiful.
Lu Mi brushes aside Song Zhao's messy bangs. "What's wrong?"
"I left in such a hurry I didn't bring any money. Before we get divorced, buy me a grilled sausage."
"...No grilled sausages for a month."

You're Really Giving Me Money?
Ji Sui has no parents. The days he spent hungry and cold in an orphanage taught him just how important money is.
He studies like his life depends on it and builds a business from scratch. Even after his company makes the city's top hundred, he still sticks to a 007 work schedule.
After staying up three nights in a row, Ji Sui finally dies from overwork. He opens his eyes in a new life as a useless pretty boy whose father doesn't care for him and whose mother doesn't love him, and who is going to be sold off in a marriage alliance.
Just as Ji Sui rolls up his sleeves to smack everyone down, a man claiming to be his boyfriend appears.
"Boyfriend": "Marry me. You only need to act lovey-dovey in front of other people. I'll give you a million a month, plus a luxury car, a mansion, and an allowance for work expenses."
Ji Sui immediately drops his rolled-up sleeves and interrupts him in a tender voice. "Honey, you are the husband fate chose for me. Don't say another word. Where's the contract? Where's the marriage bureau!?"
To hold on to this dream job of doing nothing, Ji Sui diligently keeps up the illusion of being in love with Yu Bozhou every day.
Their contract is about to expire. Yu Bozhou, convinced they've fallen in love, plans a long-overdue confession. But when he opens the door to their home, all he finds is an emptied-out wardrobe.
Meanwhile, a new up-and-comer appears in their circle. His work ethic, clocking in from nine to nine, six days a week, is astonishing.
When a reporter asks why he gave up a wealthy marriage to start a business on his own, Ji Sui thinks for a long time before answering, "There's love, but the performance in bed is lacking."
As soon as the words leave his mouth, he turns and meets a familiar face among the reporters.
Yu Bozhou sneers and silently mouths a few words: "Don't you dare run."

Please Contact Me by Message in a Bottle
Jiang Yiyu recently gets a new roommate. He's handsome, and though he looks cold and hard to approach, he's actually a very good person.
They've been living together harmoniously for almost a month when Jiang Yiyu suddenly receives several messages in bottles from nearby.
[They want revisions again. Eight hundred ideas a minute, stupid client.]
[I'd rather be a dog in my next life than study art.]
[I don't want to draw anymore. Three, two, one, jump.]
Jiang Yiyu stares at the furious, hopping-mad voice in the messages in a bottle, then at the pinned chat where a clear, husky voice says he'll be home late because of overtime and will bring him a pastry. He falls into thought.
Over the next few days, Jiang Yiyu receives several more messages in bottles filled with negativity.
Looking at his increasingly thin roommate and their sock-free home, he decides he needs to do something.
He talks and comforts him every few days, makes sure to share meals with him on time, and checks in whenever he goes out. He draws his antisocial roommate into the warmth of everyday life.
It's exhausting to act clingy every day, but thankfully, he hasn't received any messages in a bottle from his roommate for a long time.
Just as Jiang Yiyu is about to breathe a sigh of relief, a message in a bottle from nearby leaves him newly confused.
[You said it was just for me. Why does everyone else get it too?]
[Why aren't you having dinner with me today? Annoying. That man isn't even as handsome as me, and his shoulders aren't as broad and his waist isn't as slim. Maybe I should go work on my chest again.]
[Fuck, why are so many people online trying to be Yibao's puppy? Shameless! Go be little somewhere else. I'm bigger.]
Friends need reassurance too. Over a candlelit dinner beneath the romantic stars, Jiang Yiyu puts an arm around his roommate's shoulder. "Would you..."
Before he can finish, his roommate suddenly gets excited and gives him a deep kiss. "I would."
Jiang Yiyu's mind goes blank. "...Be my best friend for the rest of our lives... right?"
