Yan Xun made a deal with an otherworldly System.
The System provided him with identities, and within the limits of each identity, he maintained the small worlds on the System's behalf.
He did an excellent job maintaining them, but his cleanup work was a complete failure.
"Why can't I keep any of these identities secret?!"
The naturally useless young master of a manor, colluding with a demonic cult and wreaking havoc: put an end to the chaos, and what is there to fear in death?
"Being unable to wield a sword or practice martial arts doesn't necessarily make you useless."
The jealous junior uncle of an immortal sect, who lost his cultivation after being severely wounded: I can fight the heavenly demon and am willing to break through the endless darkness.
"Whoever harms the people of this world shall die."
A blind, tailless, great nine-tailed fox who brought calamity upon all living things: struck by lightning and burned by fire, I call the heavens to account.
"I dare ask the Mandate of Heaven: why is there no spring in the human world?"
A greedy, vicious, hated and despised demonic cultivator: beneath the light of heaven, all wandering souls shall find salvation.
"Don't cry, don't cry. It's dawn."
Notes:
1. Everyone fakes their death in the small worlds. Contains lots of redemption and whitewashing, plus a beautiful, strong, tragic, universally adored protagonist and melodramatic misunderstandings. If that's not your thing, please don't read.
2. This is a writing exercise. The style may be inconsistent, the pace may be slow, and I'm writing whatever appeals to me. If it's not your cup of tea, run! There are countless great stories on Jinjiang, so don't force yourselves, dear readers!
3. Personal attacks are not welcome. Insult me and I'll send it right back!
4. Revised version. Updates are irregular, and I'll revise the story from time to time, sorry.
5. I'll keep reserving this spot for now.
