In the Bloom of Youth

In the years of youth, an old alley tells of bygone days in wistful, enchanting words.

I never meant to, but I wasted your youth. A lifetime of entanglement is nothing but drifting clouds and smoke.

Life is but a guest's stay; why endure so much sorrow? Strings and the huqin play of death and parting, of life and separation.

"If everyone were the star of a one-act play, leaving the brightest moments in someone else's life, if the world lost the beauty of rouge and powder, would anyone still perform with such passion…" -- A One-Act Play
