Zhang Zhouyuan and Bai Mu had been together for seven years. Everyone in their circle said they were a perfect match. But Bai Mu began to feel bored with their dull, lifeless routine and started seeking excitement and novelty elsewhere.
So Zhang Zhouyuan decided to let him go.
By the time Bai Mu wanted to come back, Zhang Zhouyuan already had someone new by his side.
That person took Bai Mu's place for the rest of Zhang Zhouyuan's life.

Tao Jiqing had secretly loved Zhang Zhouyuan for ten years, starting in their student days. He was Zhang Zhouyuan's high school class monitor, college alumnus, and the hidden final page in his yearbook.
But Zhang Zhouyuan never remembered his name.
Later, Tao Jiqing heard rumors that Zhang Zhouyuan had found a steady partner, a beautiful and well-known model, and that the two were deeply in love.
At last, Tao Jiqing gave up on him.
Later still, Tao Jiqing discovered that rumors were not necessarily true. At least half of this one was false:
- Zhang Zhouyuan's relationship with his partner was not steady.
- Zhang Zhouyuan's partner had cheated on him.
P.S.:
Top-focused romance.
The one who appears later is the true bottom.
Theme: Don't wait until you've lost someone to learn to cherish them.
