In the small town where the story takes place, there is a legend passed down to this day: those who carry love in their hearts can see glowing orbs that represent love and happiness. These orbs appear when misfortune is overcome, a dream comes true, or happiness is found. They can affect people who have love in their hearts, work miracles, and even change the course of fate.
Okazaki Arashi--as her name suggests, her birth heralded the arrival of a storm. Okazaki Nagisa--her mother died giving birth to her, and her older sister, Okazaki Ushio, became a vegetative patient and was hospitalized after she was born.
Her birth was a tragedy for both the Okazaki and Furukawa families.
Her father, Okazaki Tomoya, couldn't bear the successive blows of losing his wife and his little Ushio. He abandoned Arashi and even gave up on himself. He spent his days in a haze of cigarettes and alcohol, living a debauched life he couldn't escape.
But she didn't fall into ruin. She neither pitied herself nor blamed anyone else. She simply believed in the legend of the glowing orbs, though it couldn't be proven, and kept going, hoping that one day she could obtain an orb and change her family's fate.
She didn't know whether her own happiness was the true source of the orbs, or whether she herself was the orb, and only her disappearance could bring true peace.
Ichinose Takumi
Because of his family, he grew up with a lonely heart, shutting everyone out and keeping them from seeing his true self.
He's an undeniably good man, but also a great devil. Though he doesn't toy with other people's feelings, he can handle several relationships at once.
He's the kind of man you can't help hating, yet can't truly hate.
He has plenty of money, a handsome face, and extraordinary talent.
The hero and heroine's relationship is a slow burn, so don't rush. Take your time.
